The map is placed in the center of the table, and teams place pieces of their own color in front of them. At the start of the game, there are no pieces on the board; the first move is made by one of the players with the white pieces.
Map Colors and Their Meanings: Black and white areas are the players' starting areas. Each area is divided into two.
Each player has a starting area of 5 spaces.
Orange areas are natural obstacles. No piece can enter them during the game. The yellow areas are the eight areas that constitute the object of the game.
The green areas are common areas. The stones in this area are owned by teams, not players.
Turn Order and Moves "Maneuvers" are played in turns. This turn proceeds clockwise. Each player makes only one move on their turn. This move involves placing a piece on the map or moving a piece already placed on the map.
Maneuvering is a game that, by its very nature, requires intuitive understanding. Therefore, teams should avoid verbal or non-verbal communication between themselves and within each other throughout the game.
Players can only place stones on the 5 black or white hexagonal areas in front of them.
Players cannot place pieces on the five colored spaces in front of their teammates or on the green shared space. To move a piece, players can move their team pieces in the shared space one unit in any direction (6 directions) on their turn. Only the player who owns the starting area can remove pieces from the starting area.
Players cannot move a piece on their teammate's side of the board. Pieces in the starting area move one at a time into the shared area. They do not constitute a group. Once a piece moves into the shared area, it belongs to the team. Players can move pieces belonging to their team, regardless of who placed it on the map. Pieces in adjacent areas become groups and must move together. (The starting area is an exception to this rule.) If a piece or group of pieces moves in the desired direction and any piece moves onto the black areas, this move is impossible.
If there are pieces of the opposing team in the direction in which the stone or group of stones will move, the number of pieces in the stone groups is taken into consideration.
The team with the upper hand moves to the area occupied by the opposing team's pieces and removes them from the map. In the event of a tie, they are like walls to each other.
The game ends when one team simultaneously captures five of the eight castles located in the center of the map. The team that captures all five castles wins the game. No further moves are allowed.
