As for the piece arrangement, both players place their pieces on the second and third rows, leaving the first row empty. The aim is to is to capture all of the opponent's pieces. The checker is considered to have moved his piece to the row at the back of the opponent's row, and this piece is a special piece and gains the right to move in any direction as much as it wants.
