Place 5 pucks on each side of the board. Slide both ends of the elastic band to the sides and secure them in place with the help of spring buckles. To start the game, wish your opponent good luck. Throw pucks from the goalpost using the elastic band until they run out. After a player has thrown all 5 pucks, it's their turn to throw. If the puck goes off the board during play, play stops and the player who threw it gets it back. In hockey, the starting player is determined by tossing a coin or by delaying. In delaying, each player takes turns using a puck checker and places a puck in the center of the court. The player shoots the puck toward the target at the far end of the court. The object of the delaying is to bounce the puck once and get it closer to the near rail of the table than your opponent before it bounces again. Players stand opposite each other.
