How to play?
Hello Neighbor is an escape game for 2-4 players. Before starting the game, the playing field is placed in a visible area. Each player selects one of the round progress tiles depicting the characters and places it on the circle on the playing field containing the character's picture. The Neighbor tile is then placed in its place on the playing field. The 32 playing cards are thoroughly shuffled and dealt to each player, giving them an equal number of cards. If there are two players, there are 16 cards; if there are four players, there are 8 cards. Players remove any identical cards from their hand and set them aside. No player must reveal their remaining cards to the other players.
Players take turns drawing cards from each other, going clockwise, trying to find matching pairs of cards. The game features special cards: lock cards, key cards, magnet cards, and electrical panel cards.
Lock and key cards: There are three different colored lock and key combinations. Each lock can only be opened by the key of its corresponding color. If a player holds the same color lock and key at the same time, they are matched and removed from the deck.
Special cards: The player holding this card can take any colored key card from another player and match it with the lock in their hand. Players without a lock card can draw any card from any player. The magnet card is single-use and is out of play after being used.
Electrical Box: Attention! Someone's cut the power... The player who owns this card can swap their entire deck with any player they choose. The electrical box card is a single-use card and is out of play after it's used.
